Welcome to Special Forces Bravo – K9s for Warriors! Thank you for taking a moment from your life to have a look into ours. The program was created in it’s infancy in 2015 while our founder and CEO Bobbie Lei was working diligently with Independence Paws, placing well-trained rescue, and program bred dogs with those in need of a service dog. It was then that she began to see the continued requests from Veteran’s for Ex-K9s and government working dogs. She felt compelled to branch out and create her own federal not-for-profit to grant such requests.
Today Special Forces Bravo takes in retiring K9’s, Multipurpose Canines, and Military Working Dogs and transitions them into proper training to best mitigate their final handler’s needs. In corporation with local, state and federal working dog kennels and training facilities, SFB also obtains top tier green and young working dogs that may not be cut out for a life in special operations military units, but would make outstanding law enforcement patrol or dual purpose dogs. Those dogs are then given free of charge to police departments that otherwise can not afford them, or have suffered a line of duty death of their K9.
So whether you are a veteran in need of a service dog to mitigate PTSD/TBI,etc.and would like a service dog that can easily relate to what you’ve been through, or your department or taskforce needs a new patrol K9 but cannot afford one– SFB is here for you.
You can donate to Special Forces Bravo in a number of ways. Financial contributions to help pay for transporting a working dog to its new home or training, their medical care, or vesting is always welcomed. Most importantly are the dogs. We have and extensive list of applicants and departments needing dogs. So if you have a working dog breed (German Shepherd, Mal, or Dutch Shepherd) and you would like to donate he or she to the program: we would absolutely like to offer them a slot in our training program and find the perfect fit with either a veteran or department (pending proper temperament testing and evaluation) and lastly if you know that your partner is ready to retire, and you don’t have the resources to keep them at home with you, please reach out to us. We have veterans from the Vietnam to 9/11 era writing us daily asking for a Service Dog.
